We’re so excited to launch our very first Lifestyle blog today!
Through this blog we hope to help support and inspire creativity in sewing and crafting communities across Canada. We hope to supply you with helpful information, tips and tricks on various subjects, helpful advice from industry experts, fun gift ideas, as well as success stories from those who have started their own sewing or embroidery business.
Before we get started, here’s a little background on us…
Brother Canada was established in Montreal in 1960 and is part of the Brother Group of companies. The Brother Group is owned by Brother Industries Ltd., and headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. Over 100 years ago (in 1908), the Brother Group originated its humble beginnings with two brothers, who opened the Yasui Sewing Machine Co., a company that sold and repaired sewing machines. The name was later changed to what is now simply called Brother. With over 100 years’ experience in the sewing and crafting industry, you can say that we’ve been inspiring creativity for generations!
Brother Canada is a proud supporter of the Canadian design and crafting community, and through our innovative machines, we look to inspire creativity in young designers. We recently supported the annual TFI Press & Buyers Brunch which took place onsite at World MasterCard® Fashion Week. The Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) is an innovative and highly respected non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and nurturing small business entrepreneurs.
We’re looking forward to connecting with you and look forward to hearing your feedback on our blog.
